NordaChem’s OPTICAL BRIGHTENING AGENTS - OBA's,
broadly used in the Pulp and Paper. The present range
consists of OBA 113, 220, 264 and 357 with Powder and
Liquid form, chemically known by C.I. generic names.
These are generally similar to European Brands, such as
Tinopal of CIBA, BLANKOPHOR of Kemira,,
LEUCOPHOR of CLARIANT and Optiblanc of 3V.
Nordawhite BA is Brilliant, highly substantive, di-sulphobnated stilbene optical
brighteners, Added at the wet-end, these products give very good build up
even at low concentrations : very good stability to hard and soft water and
alkaline conditions and are compatible with most anionic and non-ionic
products. Can be used continuously or batchwise. They are generally the
most effective OBAs for use in wood-containing grades such as improved
newsprint, super calendered and speciality groundwood papers.
Nordawhite BBU is Brilliant, neutral shade tetra-sulphonated stilbene optical
brightener for use in the stock in sized and unsized paper, at the size press
or in coating formulations. Good substantivity to bleached pulps, very good
compatibility with commercial starches and good stability to acids and
alkalis. Can be used continuously or batchwise.
Nordawhite BSU / SCP is Brilllinat, high-white hexa-sulphonated stilbene
optical brightener with a slightly red hue for use at the size press or in
coating formulations particularly those containing starch, CMC or
PVOH. Very good stability to acid, alkali and hard water, compatible
with most anionic and non-ionic products. Can be used contiuously or
batchwise.
